Quality Control Technician (Entry Level)
Stanwood, WA Stanwood, WA Full-time Full-time $17 - $22 an hour $17 - $22 an hour North Star Cold Storage is a growing custom seafood processing company, and we are looking to add to our Quality Control Technician team! Candidates must possess; a reliable, positive, can-do personality.
As well as the ability to work independently and as a team, professionally communicating information to managers, leads and co-workers.
Key
Responsibilities:
Provides ongoing visual, probing and laboratory analysis of fresh and frozen seafood to ensure food safety and customer specifications are followed.
Monitor the workmanship and quality of the product and taking appropriate steps when expectations are not met to deliver our companies high standards for quality.
Maintains organized and accurate records for all inspections related to incoming and outgoing products.
Assures all label requirements follow customer specifications.
Assisting other departments:
Processing, Tally, Shipping and Maintenance to complete assignments that require quality control.
Performing tasks essential to the proper functioning of the department Provide leadership that promotes and exemplifies quality.
Desired Skills:
Experience in a Food Processing Environment (preferred not required).
Terrific written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to plan ahead and stay organized.
Physical Demands:
Must be comfortable working in a wet environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach with hands and arms, be able see and identify colors, read, talk, hear, bend down, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Schedule:
This position will be a full time, Monday - Thursday 6:
00 am- 4:
30 pm with limited overtime.
