The Country Store is looking for a Lead Pet Groomer at its Stanwood, WA location.
This is an exciting and new addition to the Country Store and we are looking for someone to manage our salon and partner in the development of our new grooming and self- wash program (anticipated to open this autumn).
The Lead Pet Groomer must communicate effectively and positively with teammates and clientele and exhibit leadership in a supervisory role over the salon and self-wash station.
Experience in project accomplishments, problem solving and creating solutions is essential.
Ideal candidates will have a love for animals be interested in providing care and improving animals' well-being.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the daily procedures of the grooming salon and self-wash station.
Supervise, train and lead team members in providing exceptional customer service.
Assist in the recruiting and hiring of future groomers and grooming techs.
Schedule, organize and plan daily activities.
Coach and provide feedback focused on enhancing employee performance.
Perform hands-on assessments on pets to recommend services and build trust with pet owners.
Perform dog grooming services to breed standards and to clients' personal preferences.
Hold stylists, groomers, grooming techs to those same standards.
Ensure the safety and well-being of pets and associates in the store.
Provide assistance when a pet is stressed, very difficult to manage or showing any signs of injury.
Recommend suitable products to customers.
Manage the groom shop work schedule and customer communicaons.
Ensure grooming staons and self-wash staons are clean, stocked with supplies tools and ready for use.
Maintain a pleasant and posive atude.
Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
Exhibit an ability to get along with others.
Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS Two years' experience as a professional pet groomer/stylist High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and high standards especially in terms of providing outstanding customer service.
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrate proficiency with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office.
Proven track record of being dependable and reliable.
Possess and maintain a valid driver license and safe driving record.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Two years' supervision or management experience.
Certification through the National Dog Groomer Association of America.
Exhibit a high level of knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
pet grooming, animal behavior, pet feed & supplies or any related knowledge.
Experience with Epicor or similar retail POS software.
SCHEDULE This is a full-time position (schedule may vary).
40 hours/week.
Sunday through Saturday.
Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS $21.
00 - $25.
00/hour plus commissions.
